ESET Banking & Payment Protection v Firefox

Hi. I've just installed ESET antivirus which includes a browser that apparently "protects your personal data when using online banking". The browser doesn't work (it crashes as soon as I start to type a URL) but it made me wonder: does the ESET browser provide some level of security/privacy that you can't get from Firefox and it's myriad of settings (in Tools and about:config)?

How do I use ESET Banking & Payment protection?—ESET Knowledgebase
The secured browser encrypts the communication between your keyboard and browser to provide additional security against keyloggers for banking transactions, credit card numbers and other sensitive personal data.
I have not got a slightest idea, what it does, unless they are referring to some anti-keylogger function, which can be achieved by better products like Spyshelter. Either way, I would not use it, since it is obviously broken, meddling with a secure connection makes it insecure.

Whether using the paid or free trial version I would write to them outlining the problems (as well as perhaps asking them about how secure it is):
