    Make image fit screen.

    Hi,

Used No Squint on FF which overode the default settings and was a boon for my octogenerian eyes. It has been withdrawn for sometime now and I have been having to continually use zooming (in-out) which is a real faff.

I am wondering if anyone knows of something similar which could solve the problem or if perhaps a change of browser might throw something up.

Have you tried zoom-page-we, as it seems to be the recommended alternative now, although it may not have the same options as No Squint.

I am using No Squint 2.1.9.1 without problems on Pale Moon browser, which is an off-shoot of and much like Firefox. I have no idea if it would work on Firefox specifically.

    Have you tried version 2.1.9.1??

    Hi

    Thanks for your replies.

Both zoom page WE and no squint 2.1.9.1 rejected by FF.

What was the Zoom Page WE - Firefox Extension failure error message / symptom?

    Are you on Firefox v66.0.5?

    Thanks for your reply.

I was on V 66.03 but have just updated to 66.0.5. I can now add Zoom page WE to FF.

Looks more complicated to use than no Squint as it's not shown in View but I will have a try with it tomorrow and hopefully it will do the trick.

Many thanks to you and the others for your help.

Have you tried the usual hardware zoom methods?

I don't use FF, but something like Ctrl & +, or Ctrl & mouse middle, or maybe just + on its own, should set and hold your preference.

    Lugh,

Just tried Ctrl +/- etc and it's done the business!

Not like No Squint, but a great improvement on what I was having to do.

I can now peruse Zoom page WE at leisure to see if it proves to be any better.

    Many thanks.
