Edge automatically launches Bing page on startup

I did something to my computer and now every time I wake it up from sleep it automatically launches a Bing page on Edge that appears to be set to a search for the screen image that was on the startup page. It never did this before so I must have inadvertently changed something. It is very annoying. Is there anyway to stop that? Thanks!

Press Windows Key, type Startup, click on 'Startup tasks'.
Check if Edge is set to auto-start there, or something else which would trigger that behavior.

To have a different start page for Edge, click on the Settings icon—3 dots top-right—and then on 'Settings' at the bottom of the popup. You can then choose what page you want Edge to launch with.

I tried this. When I do this, the only things on the list are Realtek HD Audio Universal Service, Logitech Download Assistant, McAffee Security Startup, Microsoft OneDrive, Realtek WOWL Utility, and Windows Security notification icon. Edge is not on the list. Is there anything else I can try? Thank you!

If you have Windows Spotlight (Bing images) set to display on the lock screen, that will happen if you click one of the two "search" boxes (near magnifying glass icons) to dismiss the lock screen, and one of them is right in the center of the screen.

If you click somewhere else or use the space bar to dismiss the lock screen then this shouldn't happen. If you're swiping on a touch screen, perhaps you just need to avoid that central area?
