Release notes say just one fix...
Firefox 66.0.4, See All New Features, Updates and FixesFixed Repaired certificate chain to re-enable web extensions that had been disabled
You would be surprised at how many things are broken on purpose on server sides to allow for the extraction of information from users that are desperate to get things working again.
There are some people out there that were unaware that you could use an alternate browser to access LastPass to open their Vault and unknowingly participated in a third party program to help them activate their extensions on FireFox. While seemingly receiving help to activate their add-ons again, they became victims to a ploy to steal their LastPass data.
Whether it was successful or not in stealing data, I do not know at this point as information is sketchy at best in this point in time. I'm sure we will hear of the victims soon enough though.
LastPass has been breached before from what I read; however the details were not clear as to how that happened in the article I read years ago back in 2015. No data was compromised, but users still had to change their Master Password.
66.0.5 now released with improved fix, check Help > About to update.
