    Cloudflare?

Is anyone getting this Cloudflare page when accessing normally safe webpages? I have no idea what it is.

How are you connecting is it a free VPN perhaps.

They will typically do that if your IP has shown suspicious activity -- Meaning the IP you are using is on a blacklist somewhere for some reason.

They used to do this if you are using TOR to connect but I think they stopped doing that but I am not sure.

Try changing your IP if you can, Most ISP's will give you a new IP if you turn off their router for a while -- not sure how long though. Could be as little as minutes or an hour but overnight should do it for sure.

    EDIT:
You may be able to check here if you are on a blacklist
    http://www.dnsbl.info

    or here
Note: you may have to enter your IPv4 address manually if it only detects IPv6

I am not using any sort of VPN but I did change ISP just recently. Could that have something to do with it?

Edit: Is it possible that I've inherited somebody's blacklisted IP address?

More than likely it happens all the time to people on home networks and small to large companies, Imagine being a huge company with 10's of thousands of employees trying to send emails and they all get blocked because they changed ISP's and now they have to contact 50 to a 100 blacklist compainies and say it was not them that did something wrong, The costs mount up if the company can't work for a month trying to fix it.

If your ISP is huge with lots of users turning the router off may work, It all depends on how long their DHCP lease is set to.

You may have to call them (ISP) to get this sorted out if you can not get a new IP on your own.

Hmm well I never experienced anything quite like this with my old ISP, it is annoying I know that. Anyways I will log into the router page and see if I can do anything there, if not phone the ISP.

Do many websites use this Cloudflare thing? Is it legit? Lot's of the normal web pages I visit are dropping me on the Cloudflare page now. So if your IP has ended up on a blacklist this Cloudflare crowd automatically flags it I guess? What caused the IP address to end up on a blacklist in the first place and is it bad that the IP address is still being circulated?

    Yes.

    Is it legit?
Yes but they also provide services to lots of 'dodgy' outfits so people continually moan about them online.
I use their Android DNS app. without issue and 1.1.1.1 for desktop / routers with Google 8.8.8.8 as a secondary.

Spammers, phishers et al. There are free ways (with limits unless you pay) of checking your IP, domain addresses, email addresses et al online for blacklisting issues, I use this currently...

I get a new ip every minute.

In any case you usually get assigned a new ip if you reboot your router.

Post a link to a site where you see the issue and we can see if we get the same.

I have a new router from the ISP and it required a firmware update. I think possibly the IP address has been refreshed during the reboot I did last night. At least I'm not getting Cloudflare on my web pages any longer...

I thought I knew a bit about IP addresses but the IP address I see at whatismyipaddress.com is different to the one I see for my machine in the router configuration web page. What IP address is whatismyipaddress.com detecting?
