OK, who puts my mail in the trash? :(

Sometimes SOMEONE puts my mail inside the trash folder of my Outlook account. It wasn't me, that's for sure... And most of the times I have to relocate the mail from the TRASH-folder to the INBOX folder. So I have a hunch that someone is snooping around inside my mail account and putting the good mail inside the TRASH-folder. (I'm using the webversion of Outlook.)

Outlook maintains a record of logins somewhere in its many pages. The log is called recent activity.

Put on a decent password [personally, I never use anything less than 21 random characters for any password that is permanently exposed online].

But I have 2FA so there is just NO WAY that someone else is using my account... :O

And that is therefore what you can expect to find in the recent activity log [you can find it by clicking on the Security link at the top of your MSAccount webpage].

I would check my settings in outlook.



If you have certain rules or mail that is flagged as spam it will be automatically sent to trash / spam folder.

And as you said, you have 2fa active so it's not a person loggin in and sending your emails to the trash.
It's done by server.
