This was an option requested by many users and is already available in Edge Canary.
I don't hear the difference...
In the new version of Edge Canary released today (77.0.226.0), a text has been added in the toolbar in the InPrivate windows:
This makes it a little easier to distinguish InPrivate windows from normal windows (since the dark theme of the new Edge uses the same color used in the InPrivate windows), in Chrome, a similar text was added in the incognito windows a long time ago:

I have Canary installed on two machines: one running Windows Build 18362.239 and other running 18941.1001. Canary 226 on 18362 does not offer the Sync Open tabs option. Canary on 18941 does offer that option.
Question: What Windows Build version is your Canary on that is offering the Sync Open tabs option? I am curious as to whether or not that option may be offered only on OS builds above 18362.239.

This guy says that classsic edge does not respect user privacy unlike firefox, safari and even chrome..expects the chromium edge to be no different.
It's no different to how SmartScreen has worked on IE and Edge for 14 years since IE7. And it's fully documented; the account ID (SID) is only unique on a device or domain, not globally.
It only takes four clicks to disable SmartScreen: How to Turn On or Off Windows Defender SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 (and it's just the same in Chromium Edge)
But SmartScreen blocks 13% to 21% more malicious/phishing sites than Chrome or Firefox: Is Microsoft Edge Really Safer than Chrome or Firefox?
