I recognize this frustration in myself from when original Edge arrived. Give it 1-3years and most things may work properly.
lol...I like the many users of original Edge are still complaining in late 2018 of Bookmarks SYNC issues, not working or erratic.
I can handle the issues, BUT it is the basic stuff I simply do not understand and I WONT be an apologist for MS or any other brand when they tell me my 'Feedback' has fixed 'a' particular issue when it never did.
As I see it nobody is in-charge of the basic tree of management command and live real testing...

Running the leaked Beta the past couple of days. Smooth...
They're all virtually at the same state of readiness.

Working well enough to try on my main production system?

After having a bit of time now to give this a test drive. I can say I am thoroughly impressed.... This is the best browser I have used in some time. I gave them feedback about the one thing I do not like and it is a white flash when opening the browser initially. They replied back within an hour upon receiving the feedback. I had reported this issue to a different browser over 100 times and never got a single reply. I think MS is on to something here.
totally agree 100/100

This is a great browser indeed.
For me pages load really fast and the browser is very responsive. YouTube Video occasional Audio stutter is completely gone.
Even though I like the old Edge the new one makes the old one look terrible.

Try loading a large PDF and see how fast it really is.
523 pages of Intel goodness: 8th Generation Intel(R) Core™ Processor Datasheet, Vol. 2
Copy paste the link into different freshly opened browsers to "benchmark"

FF, < 1second. Scrolled to last page as fast as I could drag it. Don't have New Edge, just an FF stat.

I won't! I never ever use a browser to read PDFs. They all suck at that.
EDIT: I had to try. Jeeez! I'm impressed. Took like 0.5s to have a scrollable PDF available with all data visible on all pages.
