New flag to prevent certain websites from playing media automatically:
Microsoft Edge Insider preview builds are now ready for you to try-autplay.png

This had been announced by Microsoft some time ago and today it is already available in Edge Canary.

Yes, this bug appeared a week ago in Chrome Canary and was expected to appear in Edge Canary, it will be fixed in the next build that they release (as happened in Chrome Canary).
Thanks for the update. I'll switch to Edge Dev till MS squash the bug. Generally happy with where MS are going with Edge now.

Being as the same issues in Chrome Canary are coming into MS Edge, explains the white flash when opening the browser even though you are using dark mode

Got an issue with Canary 211. Have reported it to MS.
When I have 211 on screen with the focus then either attempt to switch to an already open app or open a new app it is unable to take the focus from 211.

    Hope that makes sense!

BTW Dev 197 is fine and doesn't have the same issue.
    Me too

Also, I reported drop down selection menus, like on the flags page, don't work any more, including sites like Zotac software and drivers page, or at ASUS hardware driver download pages.

OK I know Canary is a nightly build situation but, they really released it with a bug that makes it so it won't lose focus unless you minimize it? It drove me crazy at first, I closed it, reopened it, logged out, logged back in, then realized what was happening. What a crazy bug!

The same happened in Chrome Canary:

It's a Chromium bug. This type of bugs (and other worst) are relatively common in the Canary version of Chrome, Google doesn't recommend using it as the main browser, the same applies to Edge Canary.

This is nothing new by Microsoft in the last few years, since they started hiring people by "Virtue Signaling" to make the SJWs happy and not by true qualification of the coder
Don't let other members here say (well it IS a beta", because that's BullS***. Windows 10 version 1903 has been out a while now, and Windows Sandbox and Windows Defender Application Guard are still broken since the Cumulative Update after the version upgrade. They just have very unqualified coders and developers at the company now.

Not sure what you and Cliff refer to as Focus but I think we're talking same thing- on Version 77.0.211.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) Edge window stays on top of File Explorer and can't bring other windows on top, no matter. Reported, will have to use FF until fix in place. Microsoft Edge Insider preview builds are now ready for you to try-screenshot_1.jpg
