Are you using the Malwarebytes Browser Extension? If so that's the cause. it's been an issue for all Google products since April 2nd. Only disabling the extension will show images again for Google products/sites. Check the reviews on their extension page for both Chrome and Firefox.

Interesting, a lot of my mail isn't displaying images either. I wonder if this is something Malwarebyte's can fix? Or maybe it's a Google thing?
This should be fixed now. You may need to refresh, or even clear cache, but all my images are back now. I checked the extension page, and they even posted that it's fixed, so if you're still having issues, it may be another extension doing it.

Yes working for me too now. It just seems it's taking some time for adjustments to show correctly. I changed my picture again and it took around two hours before the changes showed.
