Email notification

Good day to all. I did have a HP laptop windows 10 been playing up with small problems. So decided to get rid of. So decided to get a Acer spin 5. Very fast responsive big difference from the old HP.
Now to my question on the HP I had email notification setup perfect even a black square box like came up on the bottom right of the screen. Working good just can’t find out how I had the settings to get that notification setup on the new Acer running windows 10 fully updated
any help please.

Yes I have that setting to on as your image No4.
Maybe I didn't explain after I thought the black box should have said a black Banner with saying where the email came from.
Hope you understand what I'm trying to explain.
As a matter of interest what notifications do you have on new mail?

Since I have UWP Mail app turned on in the start menu(instead of Office Outlook pinned to the taskbar), and not pinned to the taskbar, I get a notification in the notification panel.

I'musing the built in windows ten mail app.

Yes, I get those, and they stay around until I click it, which I personally like.

Yes that's the banner I'm looking for.Where do I find settings for that? can't remember what I did on the old hp laptop.

Do you also have these turned on?

Cortana is also Windows search, so even if you have the assistant turned off, search still will be turned on.

will have a look in a bit. not in front of acer, will get back in a while.
