@ Ground Sloth...After using both Chrome itself and Edge w/Chrome i'd say they seem about the same, except that Edge has a few of it's own "touches" as it were...And once released it will be the standard "built in" windows 10 browser...so that is the advantage of using it over the standard version of Chrome...And i did use the original Edge once in a while and i would say with the Chrome base, it does vastly improve Edge and does make it much more desirable to use...

Sorry, Count Mike, i can't agree with you on this one...i think Edge and Chrome are a great combination and will result in it being used a LOT more by many windows 10 users (as compared to the original Edge)...
If they added a menu bar with proper menus I would consider them. With interface like these, I could never find anything and getting used to it would take forever !!

For me. it's Edge's interface I can't get used to for the life of me. Also goes for Chrome although it's not as bad. I'm using Gmail so I'm not so much against Google but still using DDG as search engine, cleaner and with less distractions.
So for me, Edge + Chrome combo = no go. Worst combo I could think of.
That may hit the nail right on the head. For lack of better words, it's just too stark. The MS love of Shades of Gray everywhere. Bland. I think if MS had their way, we'd all be using B/W monitors, with an adapter for those special occasions requiring blue.

    FF fan here.

    Hi there

I prefer Menus too -- so that's why I use FF -- also works on Andoid phone and Linux so common userable inteface and it's nice being able to have favourites on a toolbar like IE !!!. Finding and using Favourites in Edge is worse than a dogs dinner and I hate that edge "most used" big screen - hideous interface.

FF interface with menu and favourites toolbar

I don't even use favorites bar, everything From Bookmarks (in the past Favorites) drop down menu. I also set start page and new tab like this:

Those are my most used bookmarks.

Well, I have Firefox and Edge/w Chrome (Dev) as my two browsers now...just have to decide which one to use as my default (day to day) one...the other will be the back up... I think i am "edging" (lol) a bit toward using Firefox for the default...

    FF fan here.

Are you using a customized theme in Firefox? The default theme in Firefox is almost as bland and colorless.

Most complaints about Edge seem to have to do with its interface and/or appearance, not the soon to be defunct EgdeHTML browser engine.
