I'm not so worried about censorship; it's the invasion of my privacy with anything Google that bothers me the most.

Most people aren't concerned about censorship (or even support censorship) until the viewpoints they support are the viewpoints being censored.

I see there is a lot of "Chrome haters" here... LOL
Ok...i will give Firefox another chance as my default...but will probably keep Chrome as a back up...

Or i could put Edge w/Chrome back on and use that as a back up instead...

I'm not a Chrome hater, just a FF prefer-er. (is that a word???) They both have + and -. Chrome plus here is my wife won't use anything else. Self explanatory......

I have used Firefox since it's inception as The Phoenix Browser, so I understand it, I do not always like what Mozilla does to it , but I will still use it even though a tab crashes once in a while. I may stay on Fx 68 when it goes final. Chrome is OK but I am NOT a fan of Google.

Well, maybe the best "compromise" is the new Edge w/Chrome as it is a "Hybrid" LOL

Edge was already a hybrid browser in that sense that EdgeHTML was designed to be compatible with the Blink rendering engine used in Chromium-based browsers.

I never understood the dislike for Edge. I was actually starting to use if more frequently right before Microsoft announced that they were stopping development of EdgeHTML. Now I don't use it at all, and the Chromium-based Edge browser doesn't interest me. If I have to use a Chromium-base browser in Windows, I'd rather just use Chrome.

For me. it's Edge's interface I can't get used to for the life of me. Also goes for Chrome although it's not as bad. I'm using Gmail so I'm not so much against Google but still using DDG as search engine, cleaner and with less distractions.
So for me, Edge + Chrome combo = no go. Worst combo I could think of.

@ Ground Sloth...After using both Chrome itself and Edge w/Chrome i'd say they seem about the same, except that Edge has a few of it's own "touches" as it were...And once released it will be the standard "built in" windows 10 browser...so that is the advantage of using it over the standard version of Chrome...And i did use the original Edge once in a while and i would say with the Chrome base, it does vastly improve Edge and does make it much more desirable to use...

Sorry, Count Mike, i can't agree with you on this one...i think Edge and Chrome are a great combination and will result in it being used a LOT more by many windows 10 users (as compared to the original Edge)...
