Seems ok now...Occasionally the memory does go up somewhat for a while but then goes lower again...so looks like Firefox will be the main browser after all...

I'll keep Edge w/Chrome as my back up browser...and eventually of course, it will replace the original Edge in windows 10 and then i will delete the DEV version at that time...
Much depends on which pages/sites are open, some with a lot of graphics and/or videos as well as advertising will obviously use more resources. Although FF is my default browser, I have "spare" ones, Edge, Opera and Vivaldi. I also used Tor Browser over a free VPN for risky sites but that gets very slow at times. New browsers are now much more secure so Tor and VPN have less work. I don't use Windows for risky places any more, I just use a Linux live on USB stick, once you log off any change on it is deleted.

Thanks, CountMike...in fact, my friend told me he has 5 browsers on his system....LOL For myself, one back up should be fine...

Firefox is running great on my laptop... i am enjoying using it and see no reason not to continue using it as my every day browser...

I use FF exclusively and when I want to mess around with another browser I use Brave.

And all my searches are done using Startpage or DDG......Using FF with uBlock Origin & I don't care about cookies is a pretty sweet set up.

I can understand that, munk1955...From about a week's experience, Firefox i find is very fast, snappy and loads in those web pages really quick (if there isn't a server delay...lol) it seems to have very good security and is easy to use... The new Edge w/Chrome is excellent too but Firefox does seem to have a little bit of an "edge" (lol)

Decided to give Google Chrome (itself...lol) another try...It's really very good and so far seems to use less memory then either Edge w/Chrome or Firefox...Yet, it's very fast and snappy too...

As a result, i decided to take off Edge w/Chrome Development...I am using Chrome as my primary browser with Firefox as my back up...

I'm not so worried about censorship; it's the invasion of my privacy with anything Google that bothers me the most.

Perzackly, Thrash! I think I'll pass.

I just taught my Windows class students how to get rid of all search engines except for DuckDuckGo and to load Firefox up with all the privacy and security stuff available.
