New version leaked, Microsoft Edge 75.0.111.0:

    https://t.co/q3H0rRxTte

In this new version, the "focus mode" already works.

In version 111, the favorites bar works as it should be, that is, if the toggle to "Show favorites bar" is disable, that bar continues to appear in the NTP, as it works in the "old" Edge and in other browsers such as Chrome.

Another feature of Chrome Canary now available in Anaheim, desktop PWAs installable from the omnibox:
    Hi there

    Sorry Folks

But using a laptop in a nice sunny but cold morning (3 deg C) Conservatory and that Black theme is really hard to read to make sense of your screenshots.

That said I can't see why on earth I'd want to switch from FF -- from what I see on the screen it's cluttered etc. I prefer a BLANK screen with decent favourites on a top toolbar like FF or IE11. Since I don't do tweets or other social media I don't need all that (IMO) rubbish and it just seems to make the whole concept of looking for info quickly just unuseable. Often I just want text as well and a lot of times the audio and video feeds just get in the way of what I want to do. If I want video / Audio etc I've got SKY, NETFLIX, KODI etc.

-- OK maybe just to try something new but the standard Edge was hideous enough and I'm sure combination of Google and Ms would eventually be an unmitigated disaster. !! Errors of Both big companies would go into huge Resonance !!

    Cheers
    jimbo

I don't get the 'Add to a group' thing!

You gotta right click a tab, add it to a new group, right click another tab, hover on add to group►group 1, then they slide beside each other, no other visual distinctions!

Wouldn't it just be faster to drag the tab over beside the other one!?!?!?
As I said in another comment, this is a feature in development, it will change a lot in the future...

First image surfaces of Google Chrome's upcoming Tab Groups feature.

"To be clear, the feature is still a long way from being finished, and this is just a screenshot released by a Chromium engineer."

A few days ago this news appeared in several media:

Microsoft is close to rolling out Chromium-based Edge to Windows Insiders

Microsoft testa il nuovo Edge Chromium-based nell'ultima Build di Windows 10 20H1

Basically it was said that Anaheim was pre-installed in the latest insider build but only in Windows Sandbox, this is not true.

I wonder if Edge with Chromium base will be good enough to use instead of pure Google Chrome when it is released...Didn't microsoft say it will still have edge like features in it? If it does, i would think it wouldn't be the same as pure Chrome...or could it?

Be interesting to see a polished version arrive soon!

In anticipation of that, i started using the old Edge as my main browser today...it's really not bad at all and i am getting use to it...
However, when the polished version of Edge with Chromium arrives, it will be nice to see the conversion and I am really looking forward to it...

I know it will be available to the insiders very soon but I would love to know when the general release will be

I left my Google Chrome on my computer for the meantime, but if the converted Edge with Chromium is really nice, then I won't need it anymore...and I will go "Edge" all the way...

I have been using the leaked version from the day it was leaked and I am finding it more than capable and have not found any real shortcomings so far...

Now, all of a sudden, YouTube videos minimized to the Taskbar, randomly go dead after 10 - 30 minutes; it varies!!!
