I recently did a clean install of 10 on an older deskstop that I resuscitated. Is there a secret to syncing favorites/reading list between desktop and laptop? I know forever when I would add one to my phone it would show up on my laptop, and vice versa. I have sync enabled on all my devices, but favorites on Edge on my laptop have failed to materialize on my desktop after a week.

Apparently, according to a web search, this is a fairly common problem. Seems about par for the course lately with Microsoft. Nothing ever seems to work like it's intended to, and when it does, it takes FOREVER.

So I did a reset of Edge, on both devices. My laptop had about 50 favorites saved, I had saved only about 7 favorites on the desktop since re-installing Windows 10. For about two seconds, all my favorites from my laptop showed up on Edge on my desktop, then went back to the 7 that were there before. When I loaded Edge on my laptop, I had the 7 favorites from my desktop on my laptop. So it seems that sync worked, but it went in the reverse order of what I had hoped. I thought the device with MORE favorites would migrate to the device with fewer. It went the opposite. Neat. In hindsight, I probably should have just reset Edge on the desktop.
