After years of using FF, backing up and restoring older ones I "acquired" a mile long list and between them many duplicates, some in folders which are also exact duplicates. From time to time I have to clean them manually one by one. Is there some way to do it automatically ? Like for instance finding duplicate files ?

Altering and deleting bookmarks from browsers no longer supported.
Also saw a comment that the latest version is 'crippled' in this respect - so would an older one still work?
The only problem we found was that AM-DeadLink can no longer delete bookmarks within Firefox, apparently "to avoid conflicts due to changes in the Firefox database". It can still check for broken bookmarks, but that's not quite as useful if you can't remove them later.
Tnx, just downloaded AM-deadlink but it can't remove duplicates, all at same time or even manually one by one. No option at all.
I also tried Bookmarks Manager and Viewer (add-on) but didn't see that option either. Let me have another look at it. Can's find Bookmark Organizer in add-ons.

Another thing, going to add-ons > Find more add-ons doesn't show all available ones. Found this by searching internet: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...ookmark-dupes/ seems there are more add-ons not listed.

Odd indeed. Just used Bookmarks Dupe, marked all duplicates, it said it removed them but actually didn't......
Bookmarks Organizer didn't find any, Seems that Mozilla took those options right out.
Only after windows and FF restart Bookmark Dupes actually removed doubles !!!
