Failed to connect to server. The reason may be that the encryption methods supported by the server are not enabled in the security preferences.

Please note that some encryption methods are no longer supported, and that access will not be possible until the website has been upgraded to use strong encryption.

I'm limited to work with a live XP system with an Opera browser (the config above) so after awhile I observed that some sites I was checking it from time to time doesn't open anymore.

Can someone tell me what I have to do, or why is that and what I can use to have backward compatibility with the old XP and I can browse those sites?

    Any help is apreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

I just tried to load that site on a physical XP PC with Opera 12.18 ( which I think was the last updated version of the old style Opera), and the https site does load but too slowly to be of any use.

I don't know if this would work for you, but have you tried to see if enabling SSL3 in the Opera configuration (ie typing about:Opera in the address and then going to the Security Prefs, tick SSL3 and untick Certificate revocation lists for ssl) makes any difference ?

This should be done as a temporary measure only, as SSL3 itself is deprecated, and disabling Certificate revocation lists is not to be recommended security-wise, and also note that XP is overall considered insecure now.

As you are running a live XP, I don't know if you are able to try one of the browsers (some of which are portable) recommended on the sister XPForums site.
