Okay i have an issue here. I have 2 gmail accounts that i use with my chromebook. So example i have over 50 bookmarked folders in one of the accounts. I saved this and sent it to my yahoo email. I have much more than 50 bookmarkeed folders in the other gmail account. I then exported the files and saved it as html and sent it to my yahoo email.

Now im using the other gmail account where i basically closed all my chrome tabs so basically i have nothing there. Now when i go to bookmark pages, i still see the 50 plus bookmarked pages that i currently saved for this account. Now when i go to my yahoo email and download the html file that has bookmarked folders of the other gmail account, it downloads. But then when i open chrome and click on bookmark manager and import, i import that file. But why do none of those bookmark folders appear? Where is it?

Oh wait, its all the way at the bottom where it shows imported..then bookmarkes bar and then they all show up. So that is the correct way to do it?

Okay so as long as i exported one html file for each gmail account for my chromebook and have that file save in my yahoo email for example, then i am free to delete all my bookmarks on my chromebook on both gmail accounts right? Thus i could wipe everything on my chromebook for both? And whenever i want to open these bookmarks, just go to yahoo email and then do as what i just did right now? Because if thats the case, that seem nice because that way unless i want the bookmarked folders showing on my computer, i can always download file and have it on computer and delete it as i wish etc?

You are safe to delete all bookmarks provided you have saved them in a .html file.

I have a folder to save new favourites I find on each of my PCs when I find an interesting site. Every few months I export the bookmark files from all PCs in a .html file then consolidate the new bookmarks from each PC to make a new master favourites list which I then import into all PCs so they all have the same bookmarks. You consolidate the bookmarks by double clicking on the .html file which will show the bookmarks in a Chrome tab. Then drag the selected bookmarks to their new location in your favourites list.
