Outlook 10 deletes emails and doesn't save on the server

My outlook 7 kept all emails in the inbox till I deleted them, I now have office 10 outlook and emails are deleted automatically and NOT saved indefinitely. I've gone through tutorials that say to change settings in the advanced internet email settings tab to not delete emails from the server, that option is not present. Might anyone know the fix?
    Thanks in advance!

Hi bdbalduf. Welcome to the TenForums @bdbalduf

First lets try to determine what product you are using. Could you also share what domain you are using for mail, outlook.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com etc.

Did you set account up automatically or did you do a manual set up and if so is this account set up as POP.

On what ever program you are using can you go to "About" and capture a screen shot for us. Please ensure you don't capture any personal info in screen shot.

I know you said Office 10 outlook. In Office there is Office 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and Office 365, each with its version of Outlook. There is no product Outlook 7, maybe Outlook Express.

In Account Proprieties-> Advanced-> Some checkbox's MUST be clicked:

1."Leave on server" is BY DEFAULT UNSELECTED ( BUT MUST BE SELECTED ) , resulting in OUTLOOK EXPRESS or other version of Outlook, to download the e-mails from servers into PC and then deleting it FROM THE E-MAIL SERVER(s) right after receiving it.

2.Second checkbox says: "Delete from server in: <nr.of days>" - is BY DEFAULT SELECTED ( BUT MUST BE UNSELECTED ) - And that is why Outlook doesn't keep your e-mails on server.
