Microsoft Edge Insider builds: Troubleshoot install and updates

Microsoft Edge Insider builds refers to both Microsoft Edge Canary and Microsoft Edge Dev.

Here are a few things to try if you see installation or update errors:

    1. Check your operating system. Microsoft Edge Insider builds are currently only available on Windows 10 (64-bit). Other versions of Windows are not supported at this time.
    2. Check your VPN. If you received a 403 error, you might need to change how you connect to your network. For example, try connecting directly to your domain.
    3. Check your connection settings. Parental controls, antivirus, or firewall settings might be blocking your installation.
    4. Check your trusted sites. If you’re using Internet Explorer to download builds, you might need to add officeapps.live.com to your browser’s list of trusted sites.
    5. Try downloading again.Uninstall your Microsoft Edge Insider build and try downloading again.
    6. Restart your computer. If there’s still a problem, uninstall your Microsoft Edge Insider build and try downloading again.

    A few simple questions:

    - how to uninstall latest MS Edge Canary (pre-alpha) 64-bit build from Win 10, when default uninstall techniques described above don't work?
    - how to change Search Engine in MS Edge Insider's New Tab search bar (not address bar)?
