You won't be able to invoke either, after those two tweaks.
    Ditto on that.

    You can also try:

    In Administrator PowerShell prompt, type:

    Code:
Get-WindowsPackage -Online | Where PackageName -like *InternetExplorer* | Remove-WindowsPackage -Online -NoRestart

Also potentially useful if you encounter any (old) programs that have hard-coded links to IE and don't respect the default browser. And possibly to prove to banks (e.g.) that the problem you are encountering with their web site is common to more than one browser.
Beware there are still some very useful old programs around including MS Money which relies on IE and is vital to managing my finances!

You need to run it from a Administrator PowerShell Window, not Command Prompt.

I just tried that as well. It says operation is running, but nothing happens afterwards.

I don't think it is possible to remove both IE and MS Edge from your Computer. They're pretty much built-in Browsers that are hard to take out.

And think about it this way. What if you deleted IE and MS Edge and then you somehow deleted Firefox(It most likely won't happen but it could). How would you browse the Internet and download Firefox again or get another Browser?

I'm sure there are Tutorials online that can help you with getting rid of the two Browsers but I would suggest that you don't get rid of them and just leave them as is. You don't need to touch them if you don't want them.

You can uninstall IE, go to add/remove features in control panel. Caution though I found that certain icons in software such as Steam stop working. It may cause other issues.

Well, i got the firefox installation file on a usb memory stick, plus i can download it from my laptop. I think theres been maybe one or two times in the last few years where i had to use another browser because of problems with firefox, so its not a big deal.

Yes, it seems like it. Some of my icons in steam got messed up as well, but i was able to get them back after reinstalling steam.

Well, as long as you have a Back-Up of the Installation then you should be safe. Yet again, I would suggest that you don't delete IE or Edge. You could delete IE and keep Edge seeing as it's the more newer Browser and IE is out-dated and Vulnerable.
