    This popped up today. An advert in action centre, and the '1' unread notification is for this popup.

    To say I was less than impressed would be an understatement. Opening action centre and right clicking the advert did allow an option to not receive ads from this particular site but the question is how it got there in the first place.

    Hello Mooly,

    This may be a website notification sent by Microsoft Edge. If so, you can turn it off for the site.

    Thanks guys, those links explain a lot

    Following the TUT I can see the site in question located in Edge's permissions, along with around 15 others. Great, I can delete these.
