some Websites think I'm in Canada - Geo-locators show location correct

For about the past year and a half, some Websites think I'm in Canada for several PC’s in my house. Geo-locators show my location correctly.

My issue shows up for several different browsers and I do not use Tor. I also do not use a VPN. I have not only visited the geo-locator sites but have also logged the issue with them but they never respond and I have had the issue for at least a year and a half now. This was not an issue several years ago on these same machines.
The best example I can use is when I simply try to order something from Subway restaurant (sub sandwiches).
I am a technical person and quite computer savvy, but this has got me stumped. I hope you can possibly help.
I have screen shots to show what occurs when I try to input my correct location. The best example is Subway as I've stated but it occurs with numerous other sites. Even if I tell the Subway site to access my location, it shows me in North Carolina and shows the closest Subway as Toronto, Ontario.
Other sites make me convert Canadian prices to US dollars because they assume I'm in Canada.
Any thoughts on what the issue is? I have several PC's and they all have the same location issue.
I'm running Windows 10 and the issue showed up about a year and a half ago.

Hi BigRich. Welcome to the TenForums @BigRich

    If you click

Start > Settings > Privacy > Location there should be an option to set Default.

I guess there first question should be are you allowing apps to use your Location?

Anyway if you set default does behaviour change?

Are you using any special DNS service?

Can you think back when this started... did you change ISP, get a new modem or router?

Anyone else in the environment that may have altered the router trying a VPN service or something else

If you have a wireless device that is experiencing this can you connect to a SmartPhone Hotspot and head to Subway. Does browser still think you are in Canada.

I should have stated the Smartphone should be off your wireless network. The goal is to use cellular data with hotspot.

Before I answer I just want to let you know that the forum software is not letting me reply to any private messages. Apparently there is a 5 message "cap" for them. Here is what it says when I try, "Sorry BigRich, you have exceeded the maximum of 5 private messages for your usergroups time limit. This limit is renewed after 1 days has elapsed or sufficient post count of 20 has been reached. Your current post count is 11.".

OK, thank you and back to my issue.

No, I have not changed ISP's and have no special DNS arrangement. I'm using Charter Spectrum's DNS.

I don't recall specifically but I did change my router a few years ago but I seem to attribute this issue with when Windows did one of its updates. Can't be certain though.

I try not to put apps on my smartphone, but, if I did, I suspect that it would work. If I get desperate, I'll load the app but this is happening when I order stuff from other sites too. I go to check out and the site knows my address but I see they are quoting me in Canadian dollars. It reverts back to US dollars when I use my credit card though.

So I don't want you to put any apps on your smartphone.

Disconnect your smartphone from your wifi, enable the smartphone hotspot and connect your wireless laptop (computer) to the hotspot.

Then on your laptop go to subway. Does it still think you are in Canada?

The goal is determine whether laptop is causing the location issue or your service.
