You seem to be using a Local Account for Windows, and signing into any Microsoft Account separately.

You must have setup the Mail App with some Account it does not do that by itself. When you click on the icon it opens with whatever Mail Account(s) it was setup with.

If you don't want an Account there you delete it from the Account settings (Right click the Account > Account settings > Delete Account).

My Mail App icon opens with 6 accounts of which 2 are MS accounts(Outlook). It was me that set up those with the credentials for each Account.

Did you by chance get any apps from the Store while in the Sam Local account? A game or some other product?

To see if something strange is going on you could create a new Standard user, called Family and see if it inherits credentials. It shouldn't but then neither should have Sam.

Thanks. I created a new standard user and here the Big white envelope does not open my mail. Instead it ask if I want to add any email account. It means, at sometime, I may have inadvertently added my email account in my other standard account which I think I have forgotten

Though creating a new standard user has done my job. I know I can now delete my earlier standard user account but what if I remove my email account from my earlier standard user account as mentioned in the image I attached while replying to Mr Helmut.

My view is it will remove access to that account for the Sam user. It should not remove from Admin user.

Otherwise there would be no point in having accounts. One members opinion.

Myself I would delete the Sam user.

Not sure if you image your machine but that might be the best idea. Then you can experiment with a big net under you. I use Macrium. Don't forget to create boot media for any tool you use.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

Disk imagining is essential in any back up plan. Windows will be Windows and you need a restoration process.

Yes, I use Macrium so there is no risk.

Note: Information for everyone. First I removed the account mentioned in the bottom of the image attached but it came back itself and White Big envelope was still showing emails. Then I removed both instance of account mentioned in the attached image and it does not came back and now White Big envelope is not showing my emails. It is opening Blank.

And yes, my admin account email is intact. Removing account from here did not do anything to my admin account. But MS warning was confusing when it says data will be removed from this device. It should say that data will be removed from this user.
