    Outlook Junk Mail problem

I am writing to ask please for help.
my Outlook Inbox is getting flooded with Junk Mail.
I have been searching for how to stop it.
and I do not find anything that helps.
I have have been using Hotmail for almost 20 years.
I've had plenty of Junk Mail.
but now I am overwhelmed with it.
I use a Chromebook most of the time.
so my browser is Google Chrome.
do I need to give up and stop using my Outlook email account?
what the heck can I do?
    thank you for any help,
    Charlie

Two types of junk mail, reputable companies and spammers.

If these are companies you recognize unsubscribe.

If companies are not recognized, mark them as junk. In junk click on mail and then Block individual email.

If you can id a domain you can Block whole domain. Click gear, the click View all Outlook settings (assuming new outlook template), click mail, click junk mail, at top is blocking. (Works in older layout too, but steps different.)

Never unsubscribe from companies you don't recognize as you are telling spammers you read junk and your name will be sold as hot commodity.

thank you very much for your reply Caledon Ken.
my problem is the spammer type junk email.
I am getting so many of them.
maybe 50 in the last couple days.
    the domains are all different.
I have been marking them as junk and blocking.
    its not helping.
do you or anyone please have any more ideas about what I can do?

There is very little you can do except mark them as Junk Email. It will take a while for the Spam filter to work.

Domains and from addresses are all faked so no point in blocking them.

The spammers put you on a list of live Email addresses. You are identified by a response to a Spam message which you have probably done in the past merely opening or previewing it is enough.
So don't use any preview panel. Delete from the subject line.

Same problem here. The spam filter just quit filtering. It has worked perfectly for years and just a couple of days ago it took a vacation. I have been marking them asspam for a couple of days now but they keep coming back. The spam filter is *broken*

I am getting a problem with that Bitcoin rubbish that keeps coming through and while I would love to block all junk mail I do get the odd one that is a genuine one.
The Block the site doesn't seems to work which is the main problem unless they are changign the address on a particular Bitcoin offer.
