    Adverts popping up inside Chrome

    Hello,

Please see attached screenshot. I get these popups inside Chrome maybe once an hour for QNAP or other things.

I have checked all settings inside Chrome, run anti malware, totally reinstalled Chrome, but still get them.

How has this started happening and how do I stop it?

    Thanks

You should try another browser just to see, if it's coming from Chrome. If you get the same ads in other browser, you have a different problem...

Hi Craig. Welcome to the TenForums @craigbrass

Looks like notifications within Chrome, guess it could also be malware.

I would click three dots upper right, click settings, click advance, click Privacy and Security, click content settings, find notifications and shut off.

I would run a SuperAntiSpyware scan for deep search and removal. Easy to use, fast and quite effective.

I've run into this issue before on some of my customers' computers. The way I was able to fix it was to run adwcleaner and then reboot the computer after it finished it's cleaning.

That actually looks more along the lines of the Chrome Notifications, which you can enable for a website. Most likely it got enabled. Go to chrome://settings/content/notifications?search=notifi to see if any are enabled in allow. I am guessing that the OP has a QNAP device or is connecting to one via cloud and allows those notifications.
