Win10 1809 link to email account via Outlook will not open a web view

I am running Win10 Pro 1809, outlook 2010 for emails. When I go to my service provider's email server by clicking on the email login, it no longer automatically opens a web view of my emails on the server which it used to, until I switch to the "Standard" HTML mode. This problem only occurred after I updated to 1809 from 1803.

I was told that the problem is with my service provider, not Windows, but my wife's computer also runs Win10 Pro (but 1803) and users the same service provider and she does not have this problem. So the service provider cannot be the culprit it seems to me.

Is there some way to fix this?

Yes. She has almost the same apps as I have. Only difference is her Win10 is 1803, mine is 1809. And this problem only started after updating to 1809.
