    Firefox Vs IE

    Hi,

I'm not very good with technology.

I've always used IE as my browser, I prefer IE especially IE menu bar, File, edit, view, etc, etc, I'm comfortable with IE menu bar it makes it easier for me.

Although I tried Chrome, I just can't get used to it

I'm wondering what the difference is between FF and IE?

Does FF have the same menu bar?

No it does not and Firefox is way more secure than IE ever will be. MS would have never have come out with EDGE if IE was any good at all.

OK Josey, thank you, guess I'll have to stick with IE (for me, I found Edge to be very similar to Chrome)

Firefox does have the menu bar, you just have to activate it.

The New EDGE is going to be based on Chromium so yest it will. But Firefox is better than both. But that is just my opinion. If I had to choose between only EDGE and IE, I would use IE.

    Hi there

why would you NOT want to.

We don't all want our computers to behave like Mobile phones with big screens.

    I LIKE menus.

    Cheers

Good you have your likes and I have mine. I do not like clutter on my browser.

Thanks for all the help, if I understand correctly, FF is more secure than IE.

I'm going to install FF, do I just go onto FF and download?

How do I transfer over my "favourites"

Don't just take member's word for it, do some research, plenty of people have done tests on browser security.

Security isn't the only factor to consider though, ease of use and functionality are some other things to contemplate. I use Chrome for personal and work use because I like its features and syncing across devices (other browsers have this too).

Importing favourites from IE is a bit convoluted in Firefox. Here's Mozilla's help page for it: Import Internet Explorer Favorites from another computer | Firefox Help.
