Don't just take member's word for it, do some research, plenty of people have done tests on browser security.

Security isn't the only factor to consider though, ease of use and functionality are some other things to contemplate. I use Chrome for personal and work use because I like its features and syncing across devices (other browsers have this too).

Importing favourites from IE is a bit convoluted in Firefox. Here's Mozilla's help page for it: Import Internet Explorer Favorites from another computer | Firefox Help.
    Hi there

    @swarfega
That's excellent advice -- we all have different views on this so why not look at alternatives presented by other users and compare / use or don't use as you may see fit. With Software if there is a choice there's rarely a "one size fits all" approach -- I think often in modern software development with things like 1-click to install where people can't choose options is a step backwards. Just look at the nonsense now with those automated set ups on email programs (outlook 2016/2019/365) / thunderbird where if you have anything slightly non standard and try and set up email accounts : -- "Help --Houston we have a problem ----" !!!!

    Cheers

I've downloaded FF, however, I'm struggling trying to import my favourites

I've clicked on menu > Library > Bookmarks, however, instructions say "scroll to the bottom and click show all bookmarks"

It's not showing "show all bookmarks" all I can see is bookmark this page, bookmarking tools, search bookmarks

Then why are we here? To help others. It is NOT more convoluted. You use Chrome, I have used Firefox since it first came out as The Phoenix Browser, then Firebird and Finally Firefox.

Export al of your Favorites from IE to a file and then import them from that File into Firefox.

I'm just going by my previous experience with Firefox importing compared with other browsers.

Export all of your Favorites from IE to a file and then import them from that File into Firefox.
That seems more convoluted to me compared with other browsers which can directly import.

I have found a use case for EDGE, if perhaps niche...in case it matters. You can always use different browsers for different things.

EDGE seems to work better with streaming video...at least the last time I checked comparing it to Chrome. Didn't try FireFox but I would expect similar results as MS might use some proprietary GPU software to link it better with DX???...anyone know?

Anyways, I have saved some notes when trying to do 4K on an ultraportable tablet (ASUS transformer Mini to be specific) and and here they are.

    Graphics on 4K TV Test:
    Youtube video:
1440p@30 works on Edge and Internet Explorer
1440p@30 and 2160p@30 stutters on Chrome

The MS browsers seem to offload efficiently to GPU while Chrome actually 100%'s the CPU.

Even at 1080p@30, Edge vs. Chrome is like 25% vs. 70% CPU load respectively. Edge maxes the GPU 100% instead, and this seems to let you play it smoother than Chrome (which does not max the GPU).
I couldn't test 2160p on Edge because Youtube 4K only works on Chrome.
