Big problems here in Bristol with gmail.

It would appear that my last post was 'deleted' for some reason?

In that post I reported that this issue had been solved ( Purely by chance I would add).
Having spent days doing work arounds, I was looking at google settings, and went to advanced settings, and noticed that there was a reset option. This I had totally forgotten - but with nothing to lose 'did the click'.
In 5 seconds the problem was solved
I am one that looks too deeply too soon and launches into a complex action. It was a lesson for me to find that the answer was simple after all.
