    URL change

Can somebody explain what is happening here? (Win10 Pro, Firefox)

I look to live cam video on YouTube: Aurora Borealis in Lapland, Finland *Live Stream* - YouTube
I make an internet shortcut in a folder on the desktop. Everything is ok till here.

Then I shift this internet shortcut from the folder to the desktop itself.

The internet URL changes now to: Aurora Borealis in Lapland, Finland *Live Stream* - YouTube
and the message is: live stream not available.

No, I can't. I have just followed the steps you described and the URL did not change. Win10 Pro, 1809, Firefox.

I suggest you try deleting that bad shortcut and creating a new shortcut directly on the Desktop.

No, that does not solve it. Placing the new shortcut directly on the desktop yields also: live stream not available.
I have more often noticed that an URL shortcut does not contain the exact copy of the original URL.
In view of your reply: Maybe I make the shortcut not in a right way: I draw the i-symbol ("show site information") to the desktop. Most of the time, this works out well.

I make a shortcut on the desktop by selecting the url in Firefox's address bar and copying it. Then I right-click on the Desktop and select 'New > Shortcut'. I paste the url into the 'Type the location of the item:' box, click Next and give the shortcut an appropriate title. The url does not get changed and the desktop shortcut opens your live stream successfully when made that way.

    Thanks
