If you use NTLite to reconfigure your Windows version and you remove the windows mail option, components, windows apps, apps, windows mail, then it breaks the ability to install windows mail. I am talking about the old Vista mail or WinMail. All options for WinMail must stay and not be removed if you use WinMail.
I remember using Winmail. Just wondering who would want to run the risk of using it when it's unsupported and the remains of it could vanish on any build upgrade, for example?
It was MS messing around with clients - or not- after Outlook Express disappeared that convinced me never to depend on MS again for my email client.

Yep- free can be good- and free of MS can be better- which is why, having been savaged by MS email client-wise, I use Thunderbird.
