Outlook will not launch after deleting profile

I'm having a problem with Outlook 2016. I've been using office Pro 2016 for about a year now. Then I decided to upgrade my computer to Windows 10 Pro. Windows decided
for my Outlook that I should use Microsoft outlook.com. So now my default email became the email that they registered for me at Outlook. I tried and tried to register
the correct pop email address that have used for years. I tried over and over to change this account to the correct one. Finally I deleted the profile that they had
created for me and I thought if I reinstalled office it would work. All of office worked except Outlook and it wouldn't even launch. I kept getting the message
that it was unable to locate files needed to launch. At this point I decided to purchase office 365 (trial) but they gave me the same results. Can anybody
tell me what files I need to recoup and where I might find them. I did save the Outlook .pst prior to the upgrade of Windows 10. I honestly have no idea what
files were deleted when I deleted that profile. All of the functions of office work correctly, but every time I try to launch Outlook it says unable
to locate the needed files. I have been working on this problem nonstop for a few days now and I'm very very frustrated and confused at this point.

Welcome to the forum. Which profile exactley did you delete? Does it say exactly why it cant run ie any error or what files it cant find. Have you tried running office install and remove outlook then just reinstall outlook

    Welcome to TenForums @tomksa

This will show you how to set up a profile which should get you over the hump. You may have to start with Show Profiles and add one.

Outlook will not launch after deleting profile

Sorry didn't get back sooner. Since my last entry I've uninstalled all traces of Microsoft office and tried to remove all aspects on Windows registry.
Then I reinstalled one of the two copies of office that I own and it seemed to go fine. The only problem is that Outlook installed as Outlook 365. There doesn't seem to be any way that you can change Microsoft exchange to pop account. I've tried to do it within control panel(mail) and within Outlook 365, with no success
The good thing is the program found part of my data i.e. a years worth of email, my contacts in my calendar. So I tried and tried to use the email
on Outlook 365 and it worked fine for sending email but I could not receive email. I've tried to figure out how to install the program or modify the program
so it will work as part of office 2016. I don't like or want Outlook 365 but for some reason and I tried it three times now and always installs
when I install my copy of office 2016. I looked at the other parts of office 2016 and they are installed correctly but not Outlook. I'm attaching
two screen captures to show you how I have to install it. I would greatly appreciate some insight to this because I'm at the point of going postal.

You didn't attach screen shots. Watch you don't expose private info.

What domain are you using for email?

Why are you trying to use POP, just asking?

Didn't you say you bought Office 365? It should just be outlook 2019.

When you say you only got part of your data I assume this was all within a PST file. If you didn't get all was there a second PST or is some of your data on the web.

I'm hoping you have a recent back up file of your original PST.

I have to go out, will look at tomorrow. Other really good resources on forum with Outlook that may join.

    Problem solved

First off, I want to say thank you to all who responded to my dilemma. I got a working and recovered everything early this morning. In order to do that I had to uninstall any traces of office and office 365. I then had to reboot and reinstall my copy of office, guess what that didn’t work. For some reason my Windows registry thought I still had office 365. After I deleted or renamed any traces of office in the registry that I can find I rebooted the computer again and reinstall my copy. That worked out I could not register my email as IMAP that didn’t work so I had to register as pop and that worked. After located my .PST file I imported and recovered everything except the last few days there’ve been working on this problem. Again I have to say without reservation that I’m not a big fan Windows 10.
