Adobe Flash Player APSB18-42 Important security update??

I ran BelArc advisor the other day and among other things : ) it showed that I needed:

Hotfix Id Severity Description (click to see security bulletin)APSB18-42 Important Adobe Flash Player security update for Flash Player 29.0.0.171 ActiveX 64-bit

I tried looking for a number of "just" stand alone downloads but it seemed I had to jump through hoops. I found some instructions that led me to open this in a Chrome Browser tab:

    chrome://components/

    and saw this:

    ---
Adobe Flash Player - Version: 32.0.0.101

    Status - Up-to-date
    Check for update

    ---
So is this an indication that Flash is up to date in Chrome but perhaps "the flash player" program itself is not up to date hence the warning above from BelArc advisor? Am I good or do I need to jump through hoops and actually update the Flash player exe? TIA.

    >You can manually download below if you like

!! That was a lightning quick response!! Thanks. It brought to mind that quote often attributed to Satchel Paige:

    http://www.the-surfs-up.com/sports/sportsquotes.html

"That man was so fast he could turn out the light and jump in bed before the room got dark."---- Satchel Paige-On Cool Papa Bell reported by Bob Broeg in his Sporting News Column, May 26 1973.

Your Windows flash is outdated. A vulnerability within office or Windows could abuse it.

You know I tried the link that I got from Brink this morning that led me here:Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4462930)Last Modified: 10/8/2018

and it failed to install. Something about that download not being compatible with my system. I was going try again tomorrow morning and post pics of the install attempt. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I have NEVER launched IE or whatever the browser is called now. Also I am on win ver 1803 and I have a whole bunch of windows updates (stopping them) in place. In fact I had to turn several off momentarily just to DL from the catalog. And Chrome does indicate that my flash player "extension" is up to date so at this point I dunno.

Thanks, Downloading it now. The kb number in your link led me here:

KB4471331 Security update for Adobe Flash Player - Dec. 5 Windows Update - Windows 10 Forums

It's a surprisingly large update weighing in at 209MB. Does that sound about right? I suppose it is the whole thing and not just an update.

    ---
EDIT: Well, it turned out to be only 21 or so MB so I don't know why it was showing me in the task bar that it was over 200 unless my vision went bat sh*t crazy on me, That resolved the Flash problem according to the new scan I did with Belarc advisor. Thanks so much.
