Temporary Internet Files Folder Keeps Changing/Going Blank

Guess they may fall under Debugging-problem-issue.jpgOk Here is the situation

Sometimes i suddenly discover via Internet Options/Settings, my Temporary internet files completely vanished, and unable to do downloads in Edge, reply to forum posts etc, PC was clean installed on 11/25, did briefly reinstall Avast, but think properly removed it, so that shouldn't affect that right?

Defender seems to be working fine

Been having for like 2-3 weeks now even before the clean install

Might opt for getting a newer SSD at Christmas with a gift card, and do a total complete clean install, if I can afford it might even opt for a newer Storage drive as well. Hoping for Western Digital 3D Nand 250gb SSD, and at least 2TB WD black storage drive for my main desktop

Or would it be better to get a Samsung SSD, and WD Black for storage drive?

(If this post in wrong area im sorry)

    Hi.
So what happens if you tell it to use 330, and move the folder to
    C:\Users\[your-user-name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\

Do you have the box checked to delete browsing history on exit?

Do you use cleaners to remove temp files?

Wonder why you are still using IE anyway?

And what is the problem with Edge that you can't download files or reply to forum posts?

Well when that is blank, it won't do anything in MS Edge lol, So far it's at the default folder, at 250, but not sure if 330 would matter but I can try it, right now its staying at Default

Be it suddenly happens, it's happened 4-5 times in the last few weeks

Odd. Mine is at 330. I'm sure I've never changed it. And when it's a 0, Edge doesn't work? That's crazy!

Yeah and strange indeed, not even sure why it's disappearing at times here lol, but i hope done with disappearing lol

I thought It maybe has something to do with Avast that I reinstalled, but I don't know, used Avast last oh 10-12 years so a little hard to switch for me

Well Problem Returned again, it was at the default folder last night when i went to sleep, then i put PC to sleep, woke it up this morning, and blank again. Do not know what causes this to keep happening

    Started about 2-3 weeks ago

Did Clean system install on 11/25

    reinstalled all my software programs

then later realized oh crap it didn't get my Pro License during the clean install

then entered Key to upgrade to Pro

    Then everything should've been fine

But yet this problem returned, and keeps happening

Anyone with any other ideas? before i spend unwisely for a newer SSD, and maybe newer Storage drive

Yes was very strange, not sure still of the actual cause, i finally just reinstalled Avast Free, and guess will get the systems here on using Defender fully when 19H1 rolls out, as not sure if its something connected to Avast uninstall process or Something with Defender enhanced settings--like PUA protection on, ASR rules set (learned those from another forum) and cloud settings higher than default

so yeah leaving alone now lol
