Yahoo email

This may not help but certainly worth a try, I've moved to Firefox, tried Edge for maybe a year, it just continued to be not ready for prime time. AFAIK you still can't set a new tab to open as the active window in the foreground. MS has made browsers for years and Edge seems amateurish and clumsy, they made this one for touch devices.

FF is most like IE which was my preferred browser. Anyway, a link to thread is below and a quote of the post within that thread with the workaround.

The fix @CmmTch gave is almost, but not quite correct.

What you actually have to do is add Yahoo.com to the list of sites using Compatibility view. You can leave 'Use Microsoft compatibility lists' ticked or un-tick it, make no difference either way.

Scrub all of the above. I can no longer find any way to generate the popup warnings in IE11 that I got before.

Looks like Yahoo have changed something at their end. I would guess that Yahoo was incorrectly identifying all versions of IE as incompatible, but have now decided IE11 is OK to use.

I'm also logged in all the time @Take a guess. Well, at least for a couple weeks until I get a pop up making me log in again

The solution from the Yahoo forum worked for the problem I was having at the time. After unchecking the compatibility settings my Yahoo mail started working immediately, and the problem did not reoccur. For that particular problem at that time it was the fix (work around)

Seems Yahoo does things without any notice, there's problem(s) for a hour, a day, sometimes a bit longer, then they clear mysteriously. In the incompatibility issue it was more MS and IE rather than Yahoo, but neither one will admit they had a problem. I'm sure they're not the only ones, just the one's I'm most familiar with.
