Hotmail log in issues

Not sure if this has been brought up, but is anyone else experiencing outages in outlook or Hotmail ? Been unable to access hotmail, for at least 5 hours.

My girlfriend was having the same issue. Pretty sure it was just a server issue on Microsoft's side. She's able to sign into hotmail now. Is that true for you?

I was not aware that the Hotmail.com was still being used. Mine was turned into outlook.com. You may want to try username@outlook.com...

I use hotmail before it was turned into outlook. The @HOTmail.com still works. Like I said, it was most likely just a server issue on Microsoft's side.

So did I but U switch to Outlook.com

Sorry, it appears I wasn't being clear. My email is still ***@hotmail.com, even though the interface is now outlook.com. I always give out my email as ***@hotmail.com and the emails go to my hotmail account.

Just to clarify this: All hotmail.com and live.com email addresses, as well as their localized versions like hotmail.de or live.co.uk are and will remain valid. Microsoft has not changed them to @outlook.com addresses, nor will they do that in the future.

In fact, when creating a new Microsoft email account, you can still select if you want an @outlook.com or hotmail.com address.
