Presently on Windows 10 Google Chrome does not work (does crazy things). I understand that Google submitted Chrome to Microsoft and is somewhere in the Microsoft store.
As far as I can see there is no search function in the Microsoft store.
How would I find Google Chrome in the Microsoft Store and actually download it my PC before installing it?

Note the first refers to the Store app as downloading the official browser!
So just do a normal browser search for Chrome.

I went to that site and installed chrome from there. Alas it had the same problem. When opened, it timed out before loading.

Did you download the file successfully?
Did you save the exe file successfully? Can you see it in explorer?
Did you then double click on it to start the installation?

dalchina I went to that link and tried to download to my PC. It did NOT let me download to my PC, but I could run it. When I told it to run, it did install.
I then rebooted and when it was full booted, I opened Google Chrome.
Same old crap, it timed out before the first page was open.
I guess I just have to wait until either Microsoft lets it work or Google gets a version that will work on Windows 10.
It has become such crap shoot. I never know what to expect with Windows 10.
Just to commiserate with you, I'm working on a client's Windows 7 w/SP1 Notebook with similar issues with Google Chrome. I did finally locate and download an offline installer for Chrome but it still will not update nor uninstall then install again. Chrome is not even listed in Programs and Features, appearing to being more serious issues. He doesn't yet want Windows 10 because his wife had problems with it on her Notebook.
In general, that's a browser configuration issue. You have to make sure your browser is configured to let you 'save as'.It did NOT let me download to my PC, but I could run it.
That may be a browser setting; I believe I had to add an add-on to Firefox.
If I'm correct in your case, the same would apply to ANY download you attempt.
(Try anything from Softpedia.com as an example).

dalchina I will double check that and see, but I have downloaded other things to hard drive without any issues.
dalchina I checked both IE and Edge to see how they were set. I followed these instructions:
1.Open Internet Explorer, and then click on Tools > Internet Options > Security tab.
2.Click the Custom level button.
3.Scroll down to the Downloads heading and select Enable for automatic prompting, file downloads, and font downloads.
4.Click OK, and when asked if you are sure, click Yes.
5.Click OK.
6.Close all Internet Explorer windows, and then re-open Internet Explorer and attempt the save or download a file.
At 3. there was NO Downlads heading for "Enable for automatic prompting
Beats heck out of me.
After doing all that I just tried to down one of the free Office programs. I gave me the option to download to the hard drive. NO PRoblem.
So that is not the problem.
