Unable to disable spell checker

WTF!! Not even disabling those two settings in Group policy made a difference! Or, well, it appears that I "only" get the red underline in google search (no matter the browser) now, which is pretty puzzling (and only randomly, because I tried typing all sorts of garbage and it only triggered sometimes).

Ok, this is seriously weird.
I even deleted all the msspell*.* files in windows folder, and the damn google search is still underlining stuff.
