    Darkened Icon for IE Browser

    Hi:

I think I must refresh the icon for Internet Explorer browser that appears in the taskbar. What I see is a box outline and a faint, very dark lowercase "e" in the taskbar. Not shown as a sky blue "e" with a gold ring orbit. It seems as if the contrast level has been decreased, excessively.

I have unpinned it from the taskbar and then used "type here to search" to open IE again, and then pinned it to the taskbar, again. Did not help.

I was experiencing blinking icons in the taskbar recently, and the IE icon, although blinking at times, did otherwise appear normal., initially Then, at some point over time, the contrast for the icon for IE went darken. (The blinking icon problem has been resolved; isolated to occur only when I have a suspect USB thumb drive device attached to the PC.)

Is there a way to refresh the icon for IE back to its normal bright colors and pin it to the taskbar?

    Regards,
    VinceB.

    Hi Samuria:

    Thank you for your reply.
I just read an old post and have found a different solution. I typed "IE" into the search box and then selected pin to taskbar. The normal icon for IE returned to the taskbar, as expected. I then closed the browser, and all appears to be fine now.
