    Outlook Setup

First is Outlook.com free for my use?

What do I need to set it up?
I use Outlook 2003 on Windows 7 PC.

I am just looking for some kind of guidelines.

    Hi huffman

Yes Outlook.com is free for your use or anyone elses. It has a space limit, think it is 5GB. As part of being free it advertises down the side when you access in browser. This is free email account from MS which can also be used as your Microsoft Account for store and other MS products or Windows 10 login.

The concept is much the same as Google's gmail or Verizon's Yahoo mail.

To establish a new account you basically need your name and contact info. Navigate to Outlook.com and open an account.

As to using with Outlook 2003. This is an unsupported product. Not to say it won't work just it is not supported. If you want to connect your Outlook.com to you Outlook mail client you would add an account, your new MS account, in Outlook 2003.

There is likely more to your question then I have explain. Outlook 2003 is a mail client and outlook.com is a mail address.

Thanks Ken, that helped me to decide.

I think I will just install my old Office. It works and I know how to use it..

    Thanks again
