    What's this in my Firefox settings?


    Noticed a small warning box in the top of my FireFox settings:

    So my question is, what is the meaning of this? And it's all over my settings pages of FF!

    Have you disabled updates? If so, it would likely be due to this...

    Never check for updates is one setting I want. As soon as I realized that Mozilla got rid of it, I searched for instructions on how to disable automatic updates. And there they were...

    No, but I tried a little regtweak but my Windows bluescreened (it was supposed to removed that line)

    The 'organisation' message is from Firefox, not Windows. The tweak that produced the message in Firefox is to a policies.json file a directory called distribution within the Firefox installation directory. See the post I linked to for more details, and links to further information about Firefox policies.
