Edge STOP or X button does not seem to do anything.

When a problem site is loading and the spinning wheel is doing its thing and the page refuses to load I find that the STOP or X button in Edge does nothing. You click it and the spinning wheel just continues. This is on 1809 (clean installed).

This is for illustration, TF is quick to load, I was quicker grabbing an image to illustrate

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Slightly off topic, I haven't used Edge for a while (Firefox user) have you tried pressing the Esc button on the keyboard?

There are some sites that continue loading 'who knows what' even after the article/information I wanted to see has loaded. (Firefox has a small dot that goes back and forth in left side of the tab instead of a spinning wheel) Pressing the Esc button stops this in Firefox, I don't know if that would work in Edge, might be a workaround for you to stop things from loading.

Thanks. I hadn't tried the escape key so I'll try that next time a site doesn't fully load.
