This is a very annoying site-specific phenomenon. Applies even to some financial sites. Blame hackers. Poor design- the slow grainy images of some.

Question raised here a number of times.

    Hi folks.

Some of those captchas are so annoying I just say "Little round objects..." and go elsewhere.
There has to be a better way - especially as some of the texts are even on a quality monitor virtually unreadable.

It's not actually Hackers who are to blame but some of those "auto scraping" type of programs and "robot / AI" commands so the site wants to make sure a "Real Human" is using the site.

    cheers

Sometimes I end up almost being convinced I'm not human. I wonder how Brink would get on?

If there was a way around them they would be pointless, they are there to stop auto spam scripts and if you could bypass them you wouldn't be able to find real content on the internet for spam.

No chance.. that's interacting with the site - the site's choice. The whole idea is to defeat AI..

    Hi there
didn't the Late Stephen Hawkins (R.I.P) propose that humanity's very future existence could be threatened by A.I -- a more likely extinction event than Nuclear war or global pandemics. !!

    Cheers

Mm, could be that trying to access certain sites is rendered extinct by excessive use of captchas attempting to defeat the invincible AI.

I certainly give up on some which seem endless. But I don't have the patience AI might possess.
