GMail account no longer works in Windows Mail app

    Running Windows 10 Home x64 Version 1803
Last Cumulative Update KB4462919 installed on 10/10/2018
Ever since I installed the above cumulative update my Windows Mail app has started to not work with my g-mail accounts. They no longer will download new mail and when I try to sync one it comes up with a sync error. If I click on the sync error symbol it gives me a window titled "Attention Required" with the two options of Change Mailbox Sync Settings or Delete Account.
I tried to see if there was any thing in the sync settings that might be wrong but it all looked good to me. I then deleted one of my G-Mail accounts and tried to add it back again. After adding it back in it just says Creating Account and never does anything, I let it run all night thinking it might be downloading all my e-mails but in the morning it was still creating account, I killed it.
I just checked and the only e-mail account that still works is my Hotmail account, my yahoo accounts and my comcast account do not work either.
I am going to try one thing while I wait for a response.
Seeing as windows mail does not seem to work anymore I am going to uninstall the app and then reinstall it and see if I can get my e-mail accounts to work again. If not I will be looking for a new e-mail client.

see screen shot for what I am seeing when I try to sync an account other than Hotmail.

It is not that, I don't use 2FA and have a Gmail Account on the Mail App. The option not to use 2FA is still there.

I used to get that message in Mail but it was yrs ago and I remember that just entering the mail account pass fixed it. Rather than reinstalling which requires resetting mail accounts, have you tried to Reset Mail ?
Go to Setting/Apps & features/Mail and Calendar. Click the App then Advanced options. Scroll near page bottom and there's a Reinstall button that doesn't take long and retains your accounts info.
PS; you have personal email info showing in your screenshot. Either delete it or edit out personal info with a photo editor. Good Luck

    Maybe check this.

Let Less Secure Apps Access Your Gmail Account

Click on the Less secure apps link half way down the page to allow it.
Go back to using IMAP settings.

I did that yesterday but the only option I could use was reset which did a uninstall and reinstall which cleared all my user data which was not a big deal seeing as I was okay with redoing my e-mail accounts. After the reinstall I opened the app and when I went to put in my Hotmail account I get the same window creating account. I let it run all night. It has been running for over 12 hours and still says creating account. Windows mail seems to be broken.

Okay quick update. The problem is with Windows Mail.
I just installed Moziila Thunderbird and was able to add my main g-mail account with no problems. Did not have to set up 2FA or allow less secure apps.
Does anyone from Microsoft monitor this forum or is there a better place to put this so MIcrosoft will know it is a problem.
I am very suprised that I seem to be the only person having this problem.
Thank you in advance for any and all help.
