Hey thanks for the link to that add-on for Chrome. I installed it but I'm going to take my time before you start using it I want to read everything about it because it looks It can do a lot of things and usually things that can do a lot of things end up doing things you don't want them to do. So it's always good to know exactly how to work them
But I appreciate the reply and like
Thank you very much I will do that. Say I found how to get to the first screen that you show but I don't know how to get to the last two would you mind telling me? All I see when I click on it is a bunch of tiles so I clicked on chrome and I can see everything. I clicked on the main tab And then I clicked on options and I saw your first window. Now if I could get to the last two everything would be good. And if you could give a brief example of what you do when you exit Chrome to clear everything I'd appreciate it
The last two screens are from the second extension linked in the post:
Cookie AutoDelete - Chrome Web Store
My usual way to exit chrome is to click here:
Then here:
Notice that some buttons have multiple functions.
But if you have clean on exit enabled then it should not matter.
I just installed the second extension I didn't see it in your first post I must've scanned over to quick, I think I can figure out I appreciate all the help I just hope this works. If it is there's finally something that can get rid of history and search results in Chrome. Once again thanks for the post
You need Cent Browser, a Chromium variant, which retained the 'Clear Browsing Data on Exit' feature...
And, it just updated yesterday...
I've come to the conclusion that I have to use chrome because I don't trust all these other browsers that I've never heard of although I appreciate her suggestions.
I just installed chrome again and now I'm getting something that I've never gotten before and I'm sure it has to be a setting somewhere in chrome I'm just hoping somebody knows this.
Whenever there's a web form and I placed my mouse cursor inside the Subject line a drop down of every subject I've ever typed in since I installed this new version of Chrome shows up so that I can choose from. As you can imagine it's not an ideal situation because number one it's irritating, and once again it's a privacy thing, the last thing I want to do is to be typing into a web form with somebody next to me and have a drop-down of everything I've ever typed show up. Not that I would be ashamed of it but it is a privacy thing what I type is what I type and it's not for anybody except for words intended for.
If anybody Has experienced this or knows exactly why it's happening I would really appreciate if you could tell me how to turn it off. It's one thing dealing with the history and the search results but it's one whole complete different thing when chrome is giving me at chance to choose many other topics that I've typed on other websites whenever I go to a new web form. Now I'm just adding to this thread because it's basically about the same type of stuff how to make chrome not control everything I do on it.
I didn't start a new thread but I would be interested to know if I do start a new thread if it will even do it on this forum?
Thanks in advance for anybody who might be able to help me with this
