    Forms & Passwords in Firefox

Does anyone know how to make "Ask and save passwords permanent" in Firefox? Asking Firefox is a complete waste of time.

I'm not really sure what you want, are you asking how to make a HTML form trigger the FireFox 'save password' dialog?

In that case, the form should contain two input fields and a submit button, one text field, one password field, then when you click submit it should ask if you want to save the password.

Is that what you wanted to know?

No, the box you have to tick to that says "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" becomes un-ticked, if that makes sense. It's not permanent. Example. If I open Google Mail, sometimes there is a list of my email addresses, sometimes there's not so I have to go to prefernces and tick the box again. I have Roboform, might install that instead.

Not sure if that is not a function of cookies, that is to present a list of possible accounts. I don't have any browser saving passwords and I see a list of accounts.

Are you using any type of cleanup tools to sweep cookies? Does this "Forgetting" happen right after it cleans. Thinking of products like Wise Cleaner or CCLeaner.
