Well, PC Matic had me do all kinds of things but in the end nothing solved the issue. It appears the Insider version of Windows has something PC Matic will eventually need to catch-up with. I decided on a refund, which they gave me, & now pondering if MS Defender is "good enough" security.

This was PC Matic's explanation.
"Thank you for contacting PC Pitstop Customer Service.
We have contacted Microsoft and have alerted them of this issue with the WIP versions. Whenever SuperShield attempts to scan Edge, it crashes itself.
The only way to resolve this but is by instructing SuperShield to ignore Edge and allow all traffic going to and from the Edge Browser, to have full access to your device with no protection.
Microsoft will need to fix this bug so that their program will not crash when being scanned.
We will alert you when there is news from them on this issue.
In the meantime, you will want to use a different browser to ensure that your system continues to be protected and that you do not have any issues browsing the internet."
Okay, one final update. Microsoft asked Insider users to contact them by phone to help resolve issues with ver 1809. This was posted here on Ten Forums in the News section. After working with 2 tech levels on 2 different days all failed to resolve my issue. I was offered to return to ver 1803. Unfortunately, this would mean I'd need to reinstall all of my software again, etc. Reluctantly, I agreed as the tech could not say if MS would ever resolve the issue with an update.
That's it!
