How to remaximize page size on Chrome

Hi not sure what the cause of this is but when on Chrome browser earlier I accidentally clicked on something (can't remember what) and the page inexplicably shrunk to half size so that the right hand side of the page is unseen and inaccessible so then obviously I can't just click on the maximize button to recover full page size because there's no maximize button on the left of the page. Don't know if it's Chrome or Windows or what. Have switched to IE for now, all as normal which makes me think it might be something to do with the Chrome browser.

Have tried to drag left hand side of page across to the left so that I can get to the maximize button on the right but it won't drag. Have tried pressing control, shift while trying to drag to the left but still won't drag to the left. Also tried using right click to do the same but still no movement. It's happened before but I managed to fix it through trial and error but can't remember how.

    Using Windows 10 on laptop.

Could someone please tell me in simple step by step procedure how to resolve this, this time I'll note it down so I'll be able to fix it next time it happens.

    Advice gratefully appreciated.

    Double left-click the Title bar.

    Or

Grab the Title Bar at the top and drag it up to the top. Kinda bump it into the top of the screen.

    Or use this:

Couldn't see my thread title on the General Support page anywhere so obv didn't see your reply. Will try double left clicking title bar (by which I assume you mean address bar)

"Grab the Title Bar at the top and drag it up to the top. Kinda bump it into the top of the screen."

Sorry don't understand what you mean by that. Also the other reference where you said "or use this" that's the point. Looks like you're referring to the maximize and minimize buttons which as I've explained I can't access b/c they're on the right of the page which I can't see or access b/c the page won't drag across to the left so that I could get to them.

No, not address bar. The very top, Title bar. Slim rectangular bar at top. Like this:

Sorry to bring this up again but on opening Chrome browser just now the right side of the page is still inaccessible as it was before (and still don't know how to get it to drag across to the left so that I can click the maximize button).

However same as advised yesterday I double left clicked on title bar and it's restored to full size again. Once that happens shouldn't it just stay that way?

Until you find a permanent solution, in the mean time try this as a workaround to your issue:

As shown by f14tomcat in post 4 above, re-open Chrome, only this time DO NOT double click the "title bar" to maximize it, but try and drag the window by the "title bar" and bring it towards the centre of the screen. Then grab hold of all the corners one by one and drag them outwards so that the whole Chrome window covers your desktop screen. When satisfied, close Chrome straight away. Hopefully, when you next re-open Chrome, it should basically cover your whole desktop and look as if it has been maximized.

    Question....

When this happens, do you have a grey scrollbar at the bottom of the Chrome page? If so, grab it and scroll it to the right, maybe the Min/Max buttons at the top will be visible. Then click the Max, and close. re-open to check.
